Close. Does not have to be all Apple products to sync with IMAP. I have Outlook on my home PC, and on my work Laptop. I have an iPhone and an IPad mini. All retrieve emails from the server, but if I delete an email on one device, it will be deleted on all the others. Likewise I can see "sent" messages that were sent from one device, on all others.
