That's the same problem I have with my 4000 st+ unit...I think my problem
is with the control head...the motor works fine when I aplly 12 V source
but the controller sends no voltage to the motor...I found the service
manual for the unit here; http://www.ganssle.com/jack/st4000.pdf
and have concluded that a circuit component must have gone bad...mine will
have to go to our local Raymarine service center
