Hi Ray,
It takes about 2 1/2 hrs to get to the boat. Mapquest, "Mays Landing NJ to
Pasadena Md".

I've done several day trips down and back in the winter, but this time of year,
I usually drive down for the weekend and AC and a big flat screen TV make the
boat very comfortable. Annapolis is 2 hrs by boat, 30 min by car. Baltimore is
4 hrs by boat, 45 minutes by car. Washington DC is 50 minutes by car and
probably 2 days by boat. A map will show why. The worst traffic is always on 95
near Wilmington on the way back, and can add 30 minutes unless we leave earlier
(before 3pm) or later (after 7pm) than the masses. Driving south rarely has any
delay. The admiral rarely goes, and says tolls, gas, ice and beer, food, it
easily costs me $100 a trip. It's hard for me to justify spending that on
myself, but I just love the sailing opportunities there. It is a form of
therapy while improving my boating skills. This May I did a 12 mile single
handed race w 20+ boats that started in Annapolis and went north under the Bay
Bridge and last weekend a 17 mile Race to Baltimore with my son that had 60
boats. Some moments never could have happened anywhere else and they are just
priceless.

Chuck

Chuck,
When you cross the big water to go to your boat, what is your travel time? I am
assuming you are still living in New Jersey.
