Brent;
Fresh water cooled means that there is a mixture of water and anti-freeze circulating in the block, and there is a heat exchanger where heat from the coolant is transferred to raw water from outside the boat before the raw water is mixed with the exhaust. I thought all the 1 cylinder Yanmar engines were raw water cooled (water from outside of the boat is pumped through the engine for cooling), unless there had been a fresh water cooling conversion kit installed. Gary is right; white smoke is usually the result of water. Overfueling from a leaky injector normally results in black smoke. I'm really hoping it's not a head gasket. Would there not be water in the oil sump if the gasket were blown? Brent 27-5 Wild Rover.
