There is a pretty solid concensus that better batteries weigh more. If you are looking to source from a conventional store then find the heaviest battery at the best price. AGMs are better for charge rate and lack of spilling but they have limited maintenance options. You can't equilize or water. I chose Trojan T -105REs. 6v golf cart batteries made to be resilient to the effects of renewable energy charging practices. They also have a watering kit which makes watering super easy.
