For our old Redwing 35 (C&C 35-1), I had 300 Series Stainless backing plates made to replace the mild steel backing plates on her when we bought it.  I wish I could tell you how much they cost, but a friend that owns an aerospace machine company made them out of a scrap piece of stainless he had.  I had asked him to give me a quote to make them.  I still have one left over and could measure it if you need.

Hi All, I know  this has been discussed many times here but this is a quick and simple one.

I'm going to be torquing my keel bolts this spring and I've noticed that the washers/spacers under some of the nuts are coroding and need to be replaced. I'd like to change them out for Stainless Steel.

What do you guys have for keel bolt washers/spacers and how did you get them made?

Thanks!
