I do have one on Touche'. It was installed in 2003 as part of the
diesel conversion. The Algae-X and fuel tank have been in service for
16 years. I removed the fuel tank couple weeks ago for access to
install a rudder stop bulkhead. I emptied the tank. Here's a picture
of the "stuff" from the tank. Looks to be 1-2 tablespoons. Not bad
for 16 years in service.

I have never added any fuel conditioners except for a lubricity
additive. No biocides, etc.
I can't tell you if the Algae-X helps clean the fuel or the turnover.
I probably turn over the fuel 4 times a year.
I also have a vacuum gauge on my Racor. I might change the 30 micron
element every 3 years.
