Our C&C 37/40+ does not have a blower for the engine compartment. Other than trying to remove fumes from the bilge, I'm not even certain how I would mount one as the engine is well contained under the companionway stairs. We do, however have a proper propane locker with a drain, and I am of the opinion that propane canisters should never be stored in a locker even if you have a blower, as propane is heavier than air, and I don't think you can guarantee pulling it all out of the bilge.
