If the shaft is a 1” straight shaft (pre 2000), the key is square and not tapered. Tapered shafts in later years have a Woodruff key which is crescent shaped. A liberal application of PBlaster, left to sit overnight should do the trick. The issue is the key is made from mild hardened steel and is prone to rust. Chuck Gilchrest Former Edson employee
