Have to go along with the consensus to not pay much attention to the actual cost of the paint. Looking at the overall cost of the paint job would be the better metric.
My paint costs which were for a gallon of primer, a gallon of custom topcoat base, reducers for both, wax and grease remover and surface cleaner, all AwlGrip (AwlCraft in my case) came to 3.3% of the entire job. You shouldn’t need to buy in the same quantities as I did because I have plenty left.
