Yeah Joel, Circle of life. I've owned her now for 23 years. My wife and I are in our seventies now and focussed more on grandbabies. The second one is due next week, so we will be very thankful this holiday. It's time to hand the boat over to someone else who will take her racing and cruising for the next twenty five years. There was some hard work, but mostly because I never did that kind of work before. Once I learned a few skills, it was pretty easy, really. And the boat deserved it. I'm a different person from the one who first fell in love and bought the boat. I've grown from all the experiences, all the races, all the places we've been to and the people I've met, a few lifelong friends, etc. All the things that wouldn't have happened without the boat. Owning a boat is life changing and I recommend it, because if you don't hire someone else to fix your problems, you are forced to learn skills to fix your problems yourself which makes you more valuable and more self-reliant. There are so many boats on the market not selling, Resolute may be mine for a while. She's listed for sale, but I have a couple more projects to complete; rebedding a genoa track, and painting the vee berth area, and the floorboards need some work, maybe a luxury laminate. And regardless of selling the boat, I'll stay on the list and offer my opinion if I think it will help someone. I joined Stu's list before buying my boat and felt the support offered by the C&C group, gave me enough confidence to take on owning a 35 foot sailboat. And today, YouTube adds another source for learning new skills that is just amazing. You can learn how a professional does most anything. It's a good time to be alive. During Covid, I watched a bunch of YouTube and learned how to cook, so now I make most of our dinners. It's fun and I enjoy putting a little love into each dish, and I appreciate when others cook.
