Gents,

Firstly Iâd like to thank everyone for the info they have passed on in the
past :) It is much appreciated (and I tend not to post here too often as to say
"thanks" - so figured I'd do it now!)

Anyhow, I'm currently "looking after" 3 Raq 4âs, all running 550 os.
However, a dilemma has raised it's head.

Firstly, one of the systems is having a bit of a fit, and it looks like it's
starting to drop files due to a faulty HD. It's a raided system (mirrored) I
hasten to add.

I'd like to convert this system to a single disk system, and also I'd like to
be able to back up all 3 systems onto other systems on their respective Lans,
just to safeguard the data.

Now from what I've picked up :

1. There's no way to change from Raided system to single disk system (I guess
if I just remove one disk it reports that one is missing...which is obviously
no good...). Would I be right in saying that the only way to do this would be
to backup/re-install os/re-install backed-up data?

2. Whats options are there for backing up as much of the data on the RAQ as
possible. Ideally it would have to be automated (cron), and would backup to a
remote system (probably a windows box with ftp server installed) on the same
lan. By "backing up as much" I mean sites, sql data, users etc etc.

Thanks again guys :)

Paul
