Arapahoe County:
--A male Palm Warbler was reported by Kennedy at Cherry Creek State Park at
the large picnic area on the north side on May 15.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Kilpatrick at Cherry Creek SP by a
small pond NE of the swim beach on May 16.

Bent County:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Drummond at the Fort Lyon Wildlife
Easement on May 15.
--At John Martin Reservoir, Drummond reported that Duane Nelson showed a
group a Piping Plover and Least Tern on May 16.

Boulder County:
--At Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder
----1 Green Heron was reported by Floyd on May 14.
--A male Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Szeliga along Boulder Creek
below Folsom Field on May 13.
--A male Magnolia Warbler was reported by Floyd at Bear Creek south of
Baseline and 36th Street in Boulder on May 15.  This area is near St
Andrew's Church.  Waltman reported a Magnolia Warbler and Tennessee Warbler
at St Andrew's on
May 16.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Szeliga near Flagstaff Road near the
stone bridge on May 16.
--A Magnolia Warbler was reported by Waltman at Sale Lake on May 16.
--2 Blackpoll Warblers and 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks were reported by Severs
on the St. Vrain Greenway in Longmont on May 15.  The one Blackpoll was at
the first ped bridge east of Hover and the other was west of Hover at ped
bridge to Golden Ponds.

Delta County:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Garrison south of Confluence Park in
Delta on May 13.

Denver County:
--On a field trip led by Thornton-Kolbe to Overland Pond Park 2 Eastern
Phoebes and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak were observed on May 14.

Douglas County:
--A singing male Hooded Warbler was reported by Shade at Chatfield SP.
Park at the small lot outside the east entrance.  Walk downstream along the
Highline Canal past Mile Marker 7.  Look in Cottonwood trees.

El Paso County:
--At Sondermann Park in Colorado Springs
----On May 13, Shaum reported a White-eyed Vireo, Northern Waterthrush, and
male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
----On May 13, a hybrid Blue-winged x Golden-winged Brewster's Warbler was
found by Lee.
----On May 14, Burns reported Brewster's Warbler, Broad-winged Hawk,
White-eyed Vireo, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
----On May 15, Burns reported Black-throated Gray Warbler, Black-and-White
Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, White-eyed Vireo, and 1 male Rose-breasted
Grosbeaks and Percival reported a f Hooded Warbler.
----On May 16, Lewantowicz reported f Hooded Warbler and m Black-and-White
Warbler.
----On May 16, Hinds reported White-eyed Vireo and Black-and-white Warbler.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Webb behind Holmes Middle School in NW
Colorado Springs on May 13.  This area is contiguous with Sondermann Park.
--A GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH was reported by Lee in the Peaceful Valley suburb
of Colorado Springs on May 14.
--At Fountain Creek Regional Park on May 15, Ruano reported a
Yellow-throated Vireo and Percival reported Northern Waterthrush, Green
Heron, and male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
--At Fountain Creek Regional Park on May 16, Hinds reported Yellow-throated
Vireo.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee):
----On May 13, Gibbons banded a female Hooded Warbler.
----On May 13 at headquarters, Gibbons reported Summer Tanager, Western Palm
Warbler, m Rose-breasted Grosbeak and at Rose Pond a Tennessee Warbler.
----On May 14, Brown reported that an Ovenbird was banded.
----On May 14, Drummond reported a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak near the
banding station, a male Summer Tanager near headquarters, and a male
Blackpoll Warbler at Rose Pond.
----On May 15, Brown reported a Tennessee Warbler and Northern Parula.
----On May 15, Gibbons reported a f Northern Parula at Rose Pond and m
Blackpoll Warbler and m Summer Tanager at headquarters.
----On May 16, Brown reported that 1 Chestnut-sided Warbler and 4 Ovenbirds
were banded.  Seen around banding station were m Tennessee Warbler, m
Magnolia Warbler, f Northern Parula and around headquarters Black-and-white
Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, and Summer Tanager.

Fremont County:
--A male Black-throated Blue Warbler and male Hooded Warbler were reported
by Swarm on the Canon City Riverwalk between 9th Street and Sells Pond on
May 15.  Rich Miller found a pair of Hooded Warblers on the Riverwalk on May
15.
--2 Green Herons and 3 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Moss on the Canon
City Riverwalk on May 16.

Jackson County:
--2 RED PHALAROPES were reported by Komar at Walden Reservoir on May 16.

Jefferson County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Henwood at Bear Creek Lake Park on
May 13.
--On May 14, Henwood reported a Western Palm Warbler, Northern Waterthrush,
and Rose-breasted Grosbeak at Bear Creek Lake Park.

Larimer County:
--A MOURNING WARBLER was reported by Wild on a pond SE of the Big Thompson
and Wilson Ave in Loveland on May 13.
--A Blackpoll Warbler and White-winged Dove were reported by Komar at the
intersection of West Lake St and Wildwood Road in west Fort Collins on May
14.
--A f Tennessee Warbler was reported by Lefko at Prospect Ponds in Fort
Collins on May 15.
--A Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Lefko at Lee Martinez Park on May 16.
--A White-throated Sparrow was reported by Rashid at Matthews Reiser Bird
Sanctuary at Lake Estes on May 15.
--Rashid reported a Worm-eating Warbler at Matthews Reiser Bird Sanctuary at
Lake Estes on May 16.
--A Blackpoll Warbler and Green Heron were reported by Spark SW of the
intersection of the Poudre Bike Trail with N College on May 16.

Logan County:
--An adult breeding plumaged TRICOLORED HERON was reported by Kellner on the
west side of CR 96 at a small pond with a willow across from "Little" Jumbo
Reservoir on May 15.

Moffat County:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Luke at Loudy Simpson Park in
Craig on May 14.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Toolen at Loudy Simpson Park in
Craig on May 15.

Montezuma County:
--A pair of Black Phoebes was reported by Garrison at the creek crossing on
CR L about 1/4 mile west of Cortez Industrial Pond on May 15.
--Garrison reported that a male Indigo Bunting was being chased by a female
Lazuli in Dolores Canyon about 8.5 miles up from the Bradfield bridge on May
15.

Morgan County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Hansley on CR 2 halfway between CR
AA and CR X on May 16.

Otero County:
--At Bent's Old Fort on May 16, Drummond reported f Rose-breasted Grosbeak
and Indigo Bunting.
--Snowy Plovers were reported by Drummond at Lake Cheraw on May 16.

Phillips County:
--On May 14 at Haxtun City Park, Linfield reported Northern Parula,
Chestnut-sided Warbler, 2 Blackpoll Warblers, and 2 Northern Waterthrush.

Prowers County:
--At Lamar Community College woods:
----On May 13, Leatherman reported 1 Northern Waterthrush, 1 Northern
Parula, 1 m Black-and-White Warbler, 1 m Northern Cardinal, Red-bellied
Woodpecker.
----On May 15, Leatherman reported Northern Waterthrush and Northern
Cardinal.
----On May 16, Peterson reported a m Tennessee Warbler.
--A RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD and f Rose-breasted Grosbeak were reported by
Leatherman in the Willow Valley Subdivision of Lamar on May 13.
--On May 15, Leatherman reported a male RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, and 2
White-winged Doves in the Willow Valley Subdivision of Lamar.
--A Summer Tanager, m Northern Parula, f Purple Martin were reported by
Leatherman at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar on May 16.
--A f Nashville Warbler was reported by Leatherman at Riverside Cemetery in
Lamar on May 16.


Teller County:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Pals at Manitou Lake Rec Area
north of Woodland Park on May 16.

Washington County:
--A male Magnolia Warbler was reported by Kellner at Prewitt on May 15.
--1 Northern Waterthrush was reported by Kellner at Last Chance on May 15.
--2 Northern Waterthrush and 1 GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH were reported by
Leatherman at Last Chance on May 16.

Weld County:
--At Crow Valley on May 14, Floyd reported 1-2 f Hooded Warblers, 1 m
Blackpoll Warbler, 5+ White-throated Sparrows.
--At Crow Valley on May 14, Hatch reported a Northern Waterthrush.
--At Crow Valley on May 15, Tumasonis reported 1 m Rose-breasted Grosbeak
and White-throated Sparrows.
--3 GLOSSY IBIS were reported by Hansley on the east side of CR 45 between
CR 44 and CR 46 on May 16.
--At Crow Valley on May 16, Chavez reported m Tennessee Warbler,
Black-and-white Warbler, and m Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, May 17 will be to Two Ponds and Rocky Flats
led by Dave Rhoades (303-424-8633).  Meet the leader at 0800 in the Two
Ponds parking lot and bird there until time to load the van for the trip to
Rocky Flats.  This will be a 3/4 day trip ending about 1 pm so lunch is
optional but bring water and snacks.  Participation is limited so call
leader to make reservations and get directions.
