My yard is open fo viewing Hummingbirds in the morning, [only]. from now
until, Sept 15,2009. I'm having morning viewing from sunrise to noon, because
I'm having classes during the evening. I'm sure I can accommodate some
individuals who can only view early evening. [call me at 303-794-2647, there is
no message on my phone]

I had one early, early, ad. m. Calliope from 7/6-10.[ Calliopes in the past,
have not come to my yd. until around 7/15-17]. On 7/10 another ad. m. Calliope
arrived, then 1, ad. m. Calliope came on 7/13. No more ad. m. Calliopes came to
my yd., until 1 showed up today, 7/19. One ad. f. Calliope has been here
7/17-19. If you want to observe or hopefully see an ad. m. Calliope, I suggest
you come to my yard NOW through, 7/25.

Ad. male hummingbirds, and ad. female hummingbirds arrive first, followed by
immatures. I get Broad-tailed, Rufous, Calliope and Black-chinned in my yd.
Adult male Calliope is common from 7/17-7/28. When I say common, I do not have
the large numbers of hummingbirds, which are found in the foothills. But, for
some reason I do get Calliopes quite regularly, during their migration time.
Immatures will still be coming through till Sept. 5. Black-chinned is not
common, but I do get ad. and imm. males & females. Ruby-throated Hummingbird
is the most unlikely, but I get one about every other year.
Hummingbird activity is best early morning. Remember my yard is not like the
Fawnbrook Inn which gets 100's of hummers. One is able to get good
Identification looks, since I have hummingbirds in smaller quantities. My yard
is in Jefferson county. If you see a hummingbird fly west into the Denver Water
Department this is Denver county. to call

PLEASE CALL ME and leave me a message as to when and what time you may want to
come to my yard. I need to give my gardener some warning. CALL, 303-794-2647.

There are 2 chairs in the back yard, and 2 in the front yd. Two feeders are in
the back and one is in the front. PLEASE, sit in chairs or stand quietly next
to the chairs. DO NOT WALK around the yd. There are baby chicks running around.
You will see more just sitting or standing quietly in one place! When you walk
into the patio [which is next to and just east of the garage], there is a
register in a ziplock baggie. Please sign the register and zip the baggie back
up, so the register does not get wet.

DIRECTIONS : Get to w. Hampden[same highway as 285], and exit at the Sheridan
exit. Go SOUTH on S. Sheridan, and pass soon, FT. Logan Cemetary on the east
side of S. Sheridan. Continue south on S. Sheridan, after passing Ft. Logan
Cemetary, and the first stoplight you come to is W. Quincy and S. Sheridan.
Continue south on S. Sheridan through this stoplight. After this stoplight, in
about 10 yards is a sign which says, entering Bow Mar. At this sign is a
stopsign. Take a right at the stopsign onto SUNSET. Go west on Sunset. Go west
about one mile on Sunset, until you come to your second stopsign. At this
stopsign take a right onto Bow Mar Dr. The first driveway on your right after
this stopsign is 4400 Bow Mar Dr. which is my address. The number is on the
mailbox. Please park on the WEST side on Bow Mar Dr[half under the cottonwood
tree and half on the road. Walk up the asphalt driveway to the garage door,
turn right into patio[which is next to and just east of the garage. SIGN the
register. To get to the backyd chairs exit out of the patio on the right side.
Two Aspen trees are to your left as you exit the patio on the right side. The
chairs in the front yd. are at the north end of the driveway. If someone has
difficulty walking you can park in the driveway.

I appreciate your consideration concerning the viewing summer. Hope you get to
see an ad.m. Calliope.
Thanks a whole bunch
