Hello, Birders.

One final report from me. Maggie and Nathan and I, plus 7 or 8 other folks,
arrived about an hour too late for the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher in Boulder
County. (This bird: http://tiny.cc/Nfom3) Last sighting, from what we could
gather, was around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday the 22nd, keeping company with Cedar
Waxwings.

But we did find:

1 adult male Red-naped Sapsucker, a bit odd for August down in the lowlands, if
barely so.

1 Western/Eastern Bluebird. Seen (too) briefly; looked Easternish. Heard (too)
poorly; sounded Westernish. Well, something to keep an eye (and ear) out for.

1 pale, bright wood-pewee with a nice orangey lower mandible. See if you can
induce it to sing...
