LESSER NIGHTHAWK (Montrose)
KENTUCKY WARBLER (Boulder)
Northern Cardinal (Pueblo)

Boulder County:
--An adult male SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Nunnes along  
the S. Boulder Creek Trail about a ten minute walk west from trailhead  
on west side of Hwy 93. Hanging out on fence line, mullen stalks etc.   
It was last seen flycatching fom a cottonwood snag near a dark brown  
house in
the woods at coordianates below. Also seen along fenceline near  
conspicous orange-flagged post.  The last known sighting was reported  
by Byers at 5:45PM on August 22.

--A KENTUCKY WARBLER was refound on the DFO fied trip to Gregory  
Canyon.    The bird was seen near the parking area on August  16.
--2 Green Herons were reported by Floyd at Walden Ponds on August 14.
--Two American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Merrick on the  
south side of the Jean-Lunning Trail at the Brainard Lake Recreation  
Area on August 16.

Larimer County:
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Komar in a small pond near  
Timnath Reservoir between County Roads 76 and 78 on August 14.  The  
bird was observed as recently as August 17.
--Four American  Three-toed Woodpeckers was reported by Arnold on the  
Blue Lake Trail in Larimer
County on August 21.

Montrose County:
--A LESSER NIGHTHAWK (male) was  reported by Dexter at the Nucla Sewer  
Ponds on August 8 and was observed again on August 16.

Pueblo County:
--A male Northern Cardinal was reported by Chartier on Rt 96 west of  
Pueblo Blvd near the sign for Stonemoor Hills on August 14.

The DFO trip for Sunday, August 23 is to Rigli Ranch, led by Joe  
Rigli, 970-768-7121. Meet leader at ranch by 0830. From Hudson, go  
east on CO 52 until it turns north. Don’t turn north, but continue  
east on Morgan County road F to CR 14,then turn north for  
approximately one mile to first house on left by boxcars. Bring lunch  
and extra water.

Everyone is invited to come out on Saturday, August 29th, to the Old  
Stone House at the north end of Barr Lake, Adams County. Rocky  
Mountain Bird Observatory is having thier annualo Barbecue and much  
more - bird walks, an auction, educational seminars, children's events  
and a keynote address by Bill Schmoker!
