I was at Grandview Cemetery from about 9:30am to 10:45am and did not
see the female white-winged crossbill, but I followed a medium sized
flock (around 15) of red crossbills as they ravaged the tops of spruce
trees throughout the south end of the cemetery. Also seen were many
red-breasted nuthatches, one white-breasted nuthatch, 2 mountain
chickadees, many black-capped chickadees and two brown creepers that
dived bombed me as they flew into a tall pine. One Townsend's
solitaire was seen sitting atop a spruce.

I hope that the white-winged crossbills are found tomorrow on the CBC!
