This morning, I had a pair of Rusty Blackbirds west of I-70 on the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt Trail. The birds were on the north side of the river were the chain link fence begins on your left. You know you're in the right location when you see an orange cone in the river. I watched the birds for at least an hour with Ira Sanders before the bird flew to the east. The birds were relocated later by Loch Kilpatrick and Glen Walbek. I will have photos of both the male and female in the gallery below later this afternoon.
