Following on from the story of the Magpie and the Redtail... I have Magpies
nesting in my yard every year and last year a Redtail came from no-where,
dived into the tree and into the nest and came out shortly afterwards empty
handed. As he took off several Magpies attacked him. I was quick enough to
get a few photos. A few days later he did the same again and got nothing.

Redtails obviously will feed on what's available and that includes robbing
Magpie nests.
