Took a quick side trip to Highline State Park yesterday (Saturday). No pelican in the pouring rain. However, there were:

9 Black-necked Stilts
7 Western Greebe
2 Clark's Greebe
1 Eared Greebe
About a dozen Gr. Blue Heron
1 DC Cormarant
Hundreds of Barn, Cliff and Violet-green Swallows

I took a nostalgic moment to walk along the shore of Mack Mesa Reservoir where my grandmother and I used to go fishing. Still in the rain. A wonderful time.
