Hugh and COBirders,
I have been working with eBird data a lot recently trying to make a birding
calendar (ever since I mentioned it a while back), so I found the Varied Thrush
comments from Hugh to be very interesting. Should we be seeing Varied Thrush
showing up now or is this early or late? Imagine my surprise when I found out
that Varied Thrush is most common in Colorado during the third week of October
according to eBird data (this past week) which is when the bird was originally
reported (10/20). Pretty cool! So as Hugh mentioned, we should be keeping our
eyes peeled for Varied Thrush according to averages over the entirety of
Colorado. When I get the calendar(s) to a point where I am certain of their
quality and I get them into a viewable calendar format, I will let you all know
where to find them.
