Ted and Other Birders,

While I'm sure there will be all sorts of heated ID discussions out on the
Valmont dikes on Saturday, for now I feel the need to dispute one of Ted's
calls immediately. According to the NWS, the forecast highs for Saturday are
for near 48 degrees not 8 degrees!

However, that should not offset Ted's command to dress warmly. By the time
those ID discussion heat up it will be late in the afternoon and the
temperatures will have eased back to the degree that you will have all
available clothing tightly wrapped around you.

Subject: [cobirds] Reminder: Valmont Reservoir outing, Saturday, January 8th

Hello, Birders.

Just a quick reminder about the ABA/BBC/DFO/CFO/Xcel/Nikon outing to Valmont
Reservoir, Boulder County, this coming Saturday, January 8th, 2011.

The outing will get under way at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the main entrance (off
63rd Street) to the Xcel/Valmont power plant. If you intend to find a parking
space, it's probably a good idea to arrive by about 11:45 a.m. Additional
details on the outing are available here: http://tinyurl.com/37r7cup

Leaders will be Ted Floyd, Mike Freiberg, Jeff Gordon, Bill Kaempfer, Dave
Madonna, Nathan Pieplow, Bill Schmoker, and Marcel Such.

Looks like the weather will be nice (partly sunny with a high near 8 degrees),
but do dress warmly. We're making arrangements for those Larimer County gulls
to drop in at Valmont...

No need to RSVP, but if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me
([email protected]).

See you all on Saturday!
