Saturday, while on an Audubon field trip with Cindy Valentine and ten other birders, we saw the female Long-tailed Duck; Northern Pintails; and an American Dipper. The Long-tailed Duck was next to the footbridge, just north of the Platte River and Florida. Other birds we saw included: American Wigeon; Gadwall; Northern Shoveler; Green-winged Teal; Ring-necked Duck; Lesser Scaup; Bufflehead; Common Goldeneye; Hooded Merganser; Pied-billed Grebe; Great Blue Heron; American Coot; Killdeer; Ring-billed Gull; and Belted Kingfisher.
