Hi all:

The finders of the Tufted Duck are Larry Semo and Steve Mlodinow (though I
don't know which of them actually found the bird). As Steve is moving to CO
from WA, I thought everyone would like to learn how to spell his name, as the
Tufted Duck will not be the last goodie he finds here. If you forget how to
spell it, you can check the lead author's name on the book America's 100 Most
Wanted Birds and of the massive article on identifying subspecies of Cackling
Goose in North American Birds a while back. Steve is a regular contributor of
identification and distribution articles in the birding literature and has been
the lead author on the regional reports to North American Birds from WA and OR
(as Larry Semo, Bill Schmoker, and I do for WY and CO) for quite some time.

Welcom to Colorado, Steve!

Enjoy,
