Hello birders,

I too birded along the Cañon City Riverwalk trail yesterday and this morning.
Yesterday I parked along Sells and today along Raynolds.

The best stretch seemed to be between the 1/2 and 3/4 mile markers. This
morning I had the continuing Least Flycatcher and an American Redstart
(singing, imm. male?) at the 3/4 marker, and a singing male Black-and-white
Warbler east of the goat pen. Also in this area was an intriguing singing vireo
that I never laid eyes on thanks to a meandering skunk.

A juvenile Broad-winged Hawk circled over the Raynolds bridge long enough to
get harassed by a Red-winged Blackbird.

Yesterday afternoon a Clay-colored Sparrow was traveling with a flock of
Chippies and sang a couple times near the 1/2 marker.

I spent about 90 minutes looking for the Mourning Warbler near the 1/2 mark
today without success, but it could easily still be there. Thanks to Brandon
for posting it and to Mark Peterson for the update and help. The redstart was
singing here for an hour between 9:40-10:40.

Lots of MacGillivrays and Wilson's Warblers to look at, though.

Sorry for any typos or omissions; I'm doing this as I walk back to the car.
Andrew
