A singing Wood Thrush serenaded this morning 630-645AM in Meadowcreek 
Subdivision, Colorado City, SW Pueblo County. It sang along Greenhorn Creek 
just west of the Meadowcreek Lane cul-de-sac. To reach the area take South 
Parkway Ave south from CSH165. Park on S. Parkway at the swimming pool just 
after crossing Greenhorn Creek. Meadowcreek Ln is on the west side of S. 
Parkway. The Thrush was beyond the end of the cul-de-sac past a complex of 
large wooden exterior apt. buildings.
 
Other area birds of interest:
1 Broad-winged Hawk 5-23-11 Greenhorn Meadows Park along the Creek just past 
the white CCC structure.
1 Olive-sided Flycatcher 5-24-11 South Parkway at Greenhorn Creek Crossing
2 Ovenbirds(1 singing) 5-22-11 Rye, Bartlett Trail Rd about .5 miles north of 
the Huerfano County line
