This morning Theresa & I had 3 singing Ovenbirds along the 5.5-mile Mountain
Top Loop Trail at Spruce Mountain Open Space. I predicted we would find at
least one, given the time of year & that the habitat looked good, but I'm not
sure this was previously a known breeding spot for the species. A decent number
of other breeders were also present, including, e.g., Hammond's Flycatcher and
Green-tailed Towhee.
