Yesterday, I saw a Clay-colored Sparrow on the south side of Latigo Blvd,
between Elbert Rd and Eastonville Rd;
it would perch for a short time on the fence wire and then go in the grass for
some time. I watched it about 30 minutes.
I looked for the Clay-colored this morning but only heard one vocalizing quite
far away from the field south of Latigo Blvd. Is this late for the Clay-colored
?
A Grasshopper Sparrow was vocalizing on the south side of Latigo also, closer
to Elbert Rd.

This morning, I saw a singing/larking Cassin's Sparrow near the intersection of
McClelland and Sweet Rd in
north-east El Paso County. It was to the west of McClelland, where the farm
buildings are. It would perch on the wood fence before lifting into its flight
display.

Several Vesper Sparrows were in both areas.
