This morning about 8:15 am, a female Cooper's Hawk just missed nabbing a blue parakeet with a white and yellow breast! The poor bird plopped down on the sidewalk near me stunned. Unfortunately, I was unable to catch it although it seemed quite tame.
I was in the NW corner of Warembourg Open Space in case anyone who is on CObirds knows of a lost parakeet.
