4 PM, hot and muggy, and there it is, singing perched and in flight. I decided 
with a name like Dickcissel, it's a really good thing it's song and plumage is 
so striking.  It was in the exact spot it was said to be several weeks ago 
(thanks, Peter Gent), at the top of the Russian Olive on the S end of the N/S 
fence as it runs into the irrigation ditch, along the E/W road from the Valmont 
parking area.  Tons of Grasshopper Sparrows singing.
