Had a chance to stop in Georgetown this afternoon around 2:00 pm to look for
the Rufous-crowned Sparrow. Within minutes, my friend Sheila McCarthy and I
were on the bird as it was singing\calling loudly from a phone line above Rose
Ave. just east of 7th Street. For over an hour, the bird continued vocalizing
and we were able to see it on several occasions. The bird stayed in a very
compact area between Rose and Taos Aves. on the ~north\south and 7th & 8th
Streets on the ~east\west.
