RMBO banding has started at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area for birding), and here 
are the first results:

Thursday, September 8
49 new birds banded - biggest arrival around 10am with 20+.
W Wood Pewee -1
Least FLycatcher -2
Hammond's Flycatcher -1
Gray Flycatcher -1
Dusky Flycatcher -1
Cordilleran Flycatcher -1
Red-breasted Nuthatch -1
House Wren -4
Swainson's Thrush -1
Am Robin -9
Gray Catbird -3
Brown Thrasher -1
Yellow Warbler -2
Orange-crowned Warbler -1
Wilson's Warbler -14
Chipping Sparrow -3
LArk Sparrow -1
Black-headed Grosbeak -1
Blue Grosbeak -1

Black-chinned Hummingbird (f), netted but not banded -1

plus observed Downy Woodpecker, N Flicker, 2+ Barn Owls early, Downy 
Woodpecker, N Flicker, Loggerhead Shrike, Am Goldfinch, Northern Mockingbird, 
Blue Jay, White-breasted Nuthatch

Friday September 9,
37 new birds banded, also biggest influx around 10am
W Wood Pewee -1
Dusky Flycatcher -2
Plumbeous Vireo -1
Am Robin -2
Brown Thrasher - 1 return from previous year - TBA
Wilson's Warbler -23
Ovenbird -1
Chipping Sparrow -6
Brewer's Sparrow -1

Rufous Hummingbird (f) netted but not banded

plus observed birds on the ranch road - Am Kestrel, RT Hawk, Swainson's Hawk, 
Scaled Quail, W KIngbird, Cassin's Kingbird, Lark Buntings, Lark Sparrows, 

RMBO banding  will continue tomorrow, (Saturday), and 6 days a week, weather 
permitting, through 10/8/2011.
