Hello all, I am visiting from Texas and have had a fantastic time birding Colorado. I have one day left to bird and wanted to dedicate it to hopefully finding the ptarmigan that has so far eluded me.
We have visited Rocky Mountain Park and Guanella Pass in search of it, but no luck. I would appreciate any and all suggestions and specific directions where we might have the most luck finding this bird. We're coming from the Broomfield area and hopefully would like to stay within a 3 hour drive. Thank you and good birding!
