Since I posted last night about the vireo I found in Lamar Woods that was
difficult for me to id, I have received emails from several highly skilled
birders all agreeing that this is a Blue-headed Vireo. I failed to note
last night that the photos I posted had only been cropped with no other
editing to preserve the coloration, etc for identification. I have since
tweaked the photos and uploaded them to my Birds and Nature
<http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com>blog.

I saw another vireo in Lamar Woods yesterday that I think was a Philadelphia
Vireo--dark crown, light supercillium, and yellow underparts. However, I
saw it briefly at the top of a 30 foot tree and this is another species I am
not familiar with so I am only considering it a possible. As I noted last
night, Lamar Woods was still really hopping with birds. Interestingly I
didn't see this second vireo until after 1 pm (actually I briefly refound
the Blue-headed Vireo just after 1 pm).
