Tina, a mother hen and nine "turklets" paraded around the Tech Center
(roughly I-25 and Orchard) this past spring. Over the past two months I
have seen two adult birds foraging two blocks south of Belleview and east of
Quebec. The birds would roost in a bare deciduous tree at the edge of
Quebec. Recently I have seen only one bird roosting there.
On another minor note: I have had a flock of ten bushtits at my suet feeder
daily for the past ten days...Centennial near Orchard and Colorado Blvd.

A Wild Turkey was seen on Prospect, 100 yards east of Bow Mar Dr. today. I thought this was nuts, but she, a female, crossed the Prospect St. Wild, I wonder? Years ago, I believe in the southeast Bow Mar area , which is now Grant Ranch, there were a few Turkeys seen on a Christmas count[in this Grant Ranch area.]. The Turkey came out from a very shaded, shrubby, area, that had loads of leaves on the ground.Origin unknown I would say, as far as the bird seen today.
