I was censusing waterfowl at Walden Ponds this morning, and very surprised to find what I would assume to be the same hybrid Am Wigeon/Gr-winged Teal as was there last year. This bird was first seen Feb 21, 2011, at the Water Treatment Plant right by Walden Ponds, and then showed up at Cottonwood a few days later. It hung out there for weeks.
