First a couple quick notes on water McIntosh: Ice Cube, no open water Loveland: Some open water with some gulls in PM (including two LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS) Ish: Frozen Wasteland Union: Rather open!!!! -- Good numbers of birds including 66 RB Mergansers, 5 Horned Grebes, etc. L Latham: Rather open, good numbers of birds. Empire Res: Ice cube covered in blanket of snow Jackson Res: Mostly frozen, with water at north end. Here were many birds including 4500 or so Lesser Canada Geese, > 1000 Common Mergs HIGHLIGHTS: MALE AM BLACK DUCK, 2ND CYCLE ICELAND GULL, 1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, FEMALE AM BLACK DUCK x MALLARD. There may have been a second hybrid Am Black x Mallard as well.
