We’ve had a slow week
of banding thus far at Chico Basin Ranch, with daily totals of 11, 25, and 20
birds

banded on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday.   Season total is
now 553 birds of 45 species.  Tallies for the past three 

days are:

 

Monday, Sept. 17
 

Hermit Thrush – 3

Gray Catbird - 1

MacGillivray’s Warbler – 1

Wilson’s Warbler – 6

 

Tuesday, Sept. 18 

 

Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1

Blue-headed Vireo - 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet – 3

Hermit Thrush -  4

Gray Catbird – 1

Brown Thrasher - 1 

Blackpoll Warbler - 1

MacGillivray’s Warbler - 1

Wilson’s Warbler – 7

Western Tanager - 1

Lincoln’s Sparrow – 2

White-crowned Sparrow - 2

 

Wednesday, Sept. 19

 

Dusky Flycatcher – 1

Brown Creeper - 1


Ruby-crowned Kinglet – 1

Hermit Thrush - 5

Gray Catbird – 2

Orange-crowned Warbler - 2
