Banding finally picked up at the end of the third week of
banding at Chico Basin Ranch. We banded
56 birds on Saturday that included FOS Brown Creeper, Gray Catbird, Ovenbird,
MacGillivray’s Warbler, Black-headed Grosbeak, Lark Sparrow, and White-throated
Sparrow. Totals for the past three days
follow. We are finally seeing some green
foliage after a bit of rain over the past three days. Also, we found out that
a Yellow-rumped
Warbler we caught on Wednesday was banded in Mackenzie, British Columbia last
September.
