COBirders,
This weather system brought in some good birds at Lagerman Reservoir, first
spotted, I believe, by Eric DeFonso, including a breeding plumaged
Hudsonian Godwit. Also present were a Marbled Godwit, Whimbrel, 50+
Wilson's Phalarope, 50+ American Avocet, a dozen or so Long-billed
Dowitchers and a smattering of other shorebirds and peeps, most if not all
Least Sandpipers. The scene turned hectic when a Peregrine Falcon showed up
for a snack, putting the shorebirds along with 100+ Franklin's Gulls and
many ducks into frenzied flight.

Good birding,

Peter Burke, Boulder County, CO
