Thanks for your replies. But that was not the 
answer I was looking for.
 
Consider this situation,
In a form I have one label and one Text box. Label 
is used for labeling the text field. Purpose of the form is to get the name of 
the user. label's text is "Name" .
How will you name the label and text 
field.
My suggestion is to use prefix - lblName and 
txtName, what do you think?
 
In another situation where I want to retrieve a 
database column by its index and name, say column name is "Employee", index is 
1
How will you name these variables? My suggestion is 
to use strEmployee and ixEmployee. ( offcourse it is a good idea to suffix "Col" 
to these var names )
 
( pls note, it is just an example, so pls dont 
argue about its validity or its purpose, I want to know whether hungarian 
notation is needed in .NET or not. OK? )
