I rescued a cockapoo from the local animal shelter about 1 1/2 years ago and he
has the same problems with his ears. The vetrenarian prescribed MalOtic 2x
daily until clear. He now receives a small amount 1x weekly. The meds are
less than $10 and it seems to work great. When I have him groomed I have them
cut the hair around his ears allowing air to flow inside.

Seems many people have tried this successfully. The fellow is from
Thailand and people from all over the world have had luck with this.
giving cockapoos esp older one shots for dry skin can cause eye
problem. I know.

She had a severe yeast infection and was given drops for treatment.
The itching was real bad, there was a foul smell to the ear and had a
blackish/brownish discharge. She had not had any problems at all
since that incident which was 5 months ago. I would definitely
suggest a visit to your vet to have her checked and then go from
there.
