Um, I’ll say it again. You are correct that it shouldn’t do this. It is a 
ghastly bug.

When you Quit, the document file should *not* just be silently overwritten, and 
when you re-launch, the document should be dirty and revertible to “Last 
Opened”, without requiring a trip to the version editor.
