If that doesn't clear the problem, try launching your app with the Shift key held down (or turn on "Don't restore windows" in your Debug scheme's editor, or set the ApplePersistenceIgnoreState default to YES). Also, what items do you have in your Finder sidebar? I sounds like this problem is unavoidable, and sticking your head in the sand by avoiding a save panel here is not a workable solution. And if course, FILE A BUG! http://bugreport.apple.com.
