+1 although I though this scratchpad thingy is as good as a
branch. But scratchpad saves developers from handling two branches
:-)

I cannot say how solid it is since few people seem to use it. I
consider the design complete and have almost finished writing docs on
it plus docs on the module stuff plus an introduction to using
databases with Cocoon (i.e. an overview on both database actions,
esql, and sql transformer) I expect those docs to make it to both
branches within this week.
Personally, I'd love to get some feedback on them before setting the
interface in stone but I reckon without docs this can't be expected.
