That's a problem that CMS products face, too. I'm just mentioning this,
because there are a lot of very advanced (and $$$) CMSes out there and
they all have their own solution. Usually a company has some structured
data (like contact information, product lists, FAQs) and some unstructured
data (articles, marketing pages). It may help to look at what the major
CMS vendors do, especially the XML-based ones, just to get some ideas.
