Stefano, Cocoon provides a lot of error messges, look at cocoon.log.xxxxxx, or components.log.xxxxxx, or root.log.xxxxxx (xxxxxx being 000001, 000002, ...) under <cocoon servlet directory>/WEB-INF/logs.
