I'm pretty new to game programming and in fact I've only been programming for a few years on and off in a self taught manner. But when I was a kid my favorite games were 2d DOS spacegames like asteroids and starcontrol. Inspired by these games I made this small prototypical game. It has no AI, terrible camera code, crappy code organization, no AI, awful collision shapes, bad framerates, and yet.. I still like it. These are the currently implemented features: ----- 1 Mode, 2 Players 1 Keyboard; 1 Weapon; Pymunk Physics; Planetary Gravity; Random Ships at Start; Random Map Generation Limited in shape because of bad camera code; Scrolling-Zooming Camera; Asteroids; -----
So, not a lot of stuff. But still I found myself enjoying it. Maybe you will too. If you see something awful in the code or want to implement a feature and wish to contribute feel free. Here is the github of the project. <https://github.com/DarkNand/Asteroid_Control> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "cocos2d discuss" group.
