Dick, not Lem. Lem wrote both hilarious comedies and serious stuff.
Solaris is one of the best in his serious books, Cyberiada is the
best of his funny books.
"Valis" and "Scanner Darkly" by Dick are his best stuf... But I
haven't read all his books (impossible mission: he wrote almost
hundred books...)

Have you read "Stonehenge" by Harry Harrison? It's a good one... I
mean, nothing too serious or deepgoing, but it combines the myths of
Atlantis and Stonehenge in a very interesting way.
I'm right now reading "Ancient Nights" by Norman Mailer. Interesting,
although not exactly science fiction... ;)
