Solaris is cool, but I've only seen it with Finnish subtitles,
so just when it gets really mind-warping I lose the plot ... :-(

Short stories by various authors, and I forget who the editor was.
Head to Akateeminen (or somewhere) and check for titles starting
with "Alternative". For example, there's also an "Alternative
Kennedies":

if you're interested in the Atlantis myth, read about
the Greek island of Santorini, it does seem to be the
source of the stories that turned into the myth.
